Imagination Village
Imagination Village came to It’s All Good with an established business that was growing, but with a website platform that was outdated and couldn’t keep up with the direction they were heading. Although visually not an eyesore, the tech working behind the scenes did none of the heavy lifting. Their business is built on a split structure of taking payments; individual session booking and memberships, with some adhoc parties and seasonal events thrown in for good measure. When we first sat round to discuss their current wants and needs they were spending an awful lot of time manually processing and following up with orders and bookings, costing the business money and taking them away from what they wanted to do; driving the business forward
Over a period of meetings we first wanted to find out what they didn’t like about their current setup, what their biggest frustrations were and where they found they were spending the most time on tasks they’d rather do without. We collaborated a hit list and then drew up a proposal to suit their individual budget, ensuring the client was comfortable with the project from a financial standpoint but was given a really solid structure to then build upon
The back-end dashboard for staff
Although the business owners were on the ball and wanted to be as hands on with the technical side of things, the day to day running of the ship was to be managed by front of house staff using an iPad
We worked with the owners to create a back-end system with custom re-directs that was easy to use, intuitive and most importantly worked on a tablet device. Cutting out all of the unnecessary and giving the day staff only what they needed in a simple and easy to digest system
The process of taking an increasingly complicated back-end system and simplifying it for daily, quick use was quite a challenge, but was a really necessary cornerstone to the project and the product being used going forward
It’s important to note, that Imagination Village ( along with so many of our clients that come on board, ) complain that previously their old web developer had ‘held the keys’ to everything. Locking them in to future development work, changes and amendments. Here at It’s All Good we always give our customers full administrator access over everything from day one. We like to give our clients choice. The choice to do it all themselves, the choice to ask us to continue to work on their website in future, or the choice to take it all elsewhere completely! It’s a really important part of having a website that we feel not enough design agencies bring up, usually because locking you in makes more business sense – But does that make sense for you as a client?
