The Glitter Ball
We were approached to help with all things pretty for The Glitter Ball – A prestigious event hosted at Ramside Hall by Nicola Foster Hird and Paul Thursby, in aid of St.Benedict’s hospice and centre for palliative care
The landing page for the event website
This was an extra special event, for an amazing cause, so standard event tickets and posting them out wasn’t going to cut it. We designed and built a one-page custom website, where customers could go on to read about why the event was being put on, register their interest and subsequently purchase tickets. We integrated a payment gateway so all of the money could be collected by the client, and saved all of the email addresses to a database
We then used this database to create new segments within the client’s existing MailChimp account to follow on with lead generation for all of the attendees. Collecting menu choices through a custom built form hidden within their event website, taking drinks pre-orders and pretty much anything else that removes all of the manual elements out of large scale events co-ordinating
The website in ticket sales alone captured £29,500 within 30 days, which was a fantastic win for us, the client, but of course for the charity
A5 booklets were next on the agenda to of course explain to the guests on the night the running order, prizes from the auction, menu options and QR codes to further donate to St.Benedict’s
We then of course attended the evening to offer our event photography. These photos were then uploaded to a custom gallery hidden on the customer’s event website, with links to purchase the photographs
All in all the event raised £60,704.78 for the charity which is quite frankly incredible to have been a part of
