It’s just a form innit?  Well, no, not quite.  Things like consultation forms are something you probably don’t think a great deal about as a customer, until you’re given one with a horrible design that is.  We’ve all had to fill out a badly photocopied black and white version of a colour form at some point in our lives.  You know the sort; faded ink, letters missing, branding not even closely resembling the original logo anymore… It’s horrendous, and at times quite frustrating.  Annoying a customer before you’ve even had a chance to interact with them probably isn’t the best idea.

Having professionally designed forms for your customers to fill in really emphasises your credibility as a business, and of course having an expert in User Experience figure out the best way to put together a form for you can’t hurt either, right?  Check these little treats out we’ve just finished for Novellus Beauty.  Simple, professional, easy on the eye and even easier to fill in.  Feels good man, self five!

Sometimes, we get a client come to us with a really clear cut idea on what it is they’re looking for with their Branding.  Projects like this are quite a nice change at times, because as much as we love coming up with a new twist on something, it’s also great to be able to put what’s in a clients’ head onto the screen in front of them; turning a thought process into useable artwork!  This project was exactly that, the client knew what they wanted and how they wanted it presented;  Et voilà.

Our client was looking for something unique, fun and vibrant for their new project; Cue Music.  Cue Music is an agency looking to cater to venues that require a lot of versatility when it comes to line up size, whilst using the same circle of high quality musicians.  They have a background in the theatre industry, and so naturally the ‘cue music’ line really works to represent what they’re about.  In the end we went for a nice bright orange with some contrasting secondary colours, and as per usual spent far too long getting those font weights looking just right.  End result?  A happy client.  That’s what we like!

3D animations are one of those hidden gems that we don’t often get to play around with, but when we do; we properly love it. Storm Screen wanted an eye catching but subtle way to grab the attention of passers by during the downtime in their events and so came to us looking for some sort of animated goodness. If a logo looks good as it is, it looks great animated. If it looks great animated, it looks amazing in 3D. Say no more.

Business cards are so important. We find they’re an often overlooked element in branding your business, and it’s such a shame to see a well established business giving out cheap and cheerful template business cards. Thin, ugly, low resolution, awful. Just awful.

When we came up with Storm’s fleet of business cards we tried to go for high impact and in your face; which is just as well considering their colour scheme is pink. We proper love pink. We created a set for each service, which when lined up replicates the landing page of their new website; we like little touches like that too. It makes all the difference. If you’re lucky enough to get one of these little lovelies in your hand, cherish it. It was made with love.

The perception that you give your clients when you come in contact with them is hugely important. You always want to be seen in the right light, and as professional as your services are! Plain white paper just doesn’t cut the mustard, and as Storm know, if you’re really wanting to leave a lasting impression branded documents really do look the dogs baubles. Coupled with the fact that they brand everything in lashings of pink ( indisputably the best colour, ever ) they’re onto a winner. We do a lot of work for Schools NorthEast. Mainly print work and advertising, and this quick turnaround job was like usual. They got in touch looking for an A5 cover designing for an upcoming event that they’re having. It was a super short deadline so we jumped straight on it, got it done, the client loved it and now it’s getting sent straight to print! Canny!

Storm originally started as a Function Band, then branched out into the Audio Visual world for corporate events, and now boasts yet another string to their ever-growing bow; L.E.D screens.  They came to us with a dilemma-  They had a lack of online presence, but three amazing services that they wanted to promote equally.  We took them through the process of finding out the exact user flow and client base that they wanted to target, and created a super simple, user friendly and informative set of sub-sites that gets the relevant information in front of the right people.  User experience was at the forefront of this website, and we’ve done our best to really dial back what was initially a complicated brief, whilst turning up the sexy.  We think you’ll agree – it’s a winner.  Storm certainly thinks so.

New businesses often find that getting the word out about their services is one of the more challenging things when starting up.  There’s so much choice out there and it’s often confusing about where’s best to spend your time and effort.  Sometimes though, the traditional methods are the most effective, and as we’ve seen recently leaflet drops are fast becoming one of the best methods of spreading word… Again.  Like 90’s fashion, somehow it’s back!  Here’s a 6 page Z-fold design that we came up with, and if you live within Whitley Bay, keep your eyes peeled for one of these puppies.
